Understanding crypto indicators on Bitvavo and Kraken
The Markets Understood indicator tool lets you explore EUR spot markets on Bitvavo and Kraken in more detail after a market has caught your attention. It combines candlesticks, volume, technical indicators and multiple timeframes in one analysis environment. This lets you review Bitvavo indicators and Kraken indicators without having to compare separate charts and metrics across different pages.
How to use the indicators
Start by selecting an exchange, market and timeframe. RSI helps show where price movement sits within its recent range. EMA shows how price is developing relative to moving averages. MACD adds context about direction and momentum, while ADX helps describe trend strength. Bollinger Bands and Stochastic K provide additional context about position, movement and potential extremes within the recent market structure.
VWAP compares the current price with a volume-weighted average when the exchange feed provides usable VWAP data. This is why VWAP may be shown as unavailable for some Bitvavo markets. Buy pressure describes the balance in executed market activity and is not the same as a buy wall in the order book. Volume acceleration, momentum, spread, support, resistance and free space add further context to the overall market picture.
Why multiple timeframes matter
A single timeframe never tells the whole story. A strong move on the 5-minute chart can occur inside a neutral or falling 4-hour structure. MU therefore compares 5M, 15M, 1H, 4H and 1D. The multi-timeframe context helps reveal whether short-, medium- and longer-term views support each other or diverge. This makes it easier to separate short-term noise from broader market movement.
Fresh and stale market data
Less liquid crypto markets may sometimes have an older last candle. MU marks this information as Stale and the market screener shows only fresh data by default. Detail data and candlesticks refresh automatically while the page remains open, helping prevent an analysis from remaining unnecessarily fixed on older information.
Indicators cannot determine with certainty what a market will do next. Use them as parts of one market view together with price action, volume and timeframe context. To compare markets first, open the Crypto Heatmap. For the broader overview, visit Market Activity. A possible market scenario can then be structured further using Trade Plans.
